Your new role

As the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for overseeing the provision for SEN students, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that each child receives the support they need to succeed. Your role will include developing and implementing SEN policies, conducting assessments, and providing training and guidance to staff.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students
  • A NASENCO qualification is desired but not necessary.
