We're looking for experienced HGV Technician's to join on the UK's largest end-to-end commercial fleet management business at a brand-new site in Coventry.

As a HGV Technician, you'll be trusted with keeping some of the UK's biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of customers' fleets. This site will be a 24-hour operation, and will require Technicians to work on a 4 on 4 off basis, either day or night shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Welding and metal working (if authorised & qualified)
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment (if authorised)
- Take charge for parts ordering and stores management
- Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details required to substitute
- Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
- Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
- Maybe the Technician in Charge or cover reception if required
- Ad-hoc duties as required
- Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance
Skills & Experience
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent, or considered qualified by experience
- Excellent customer service mindset
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and effectively
- Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician
- Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing
- Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable

- Working 4 on 4 off basis, either days or nights shifts
- £18.50 per hour for days
- £21.50 per hour for nights
- £2,000 signing on bonus
