Job Title: FP&A Manager
Location: Watford & London
Salary: £80-85k + Bonus, Private Healthcare, Excellent Pension
Job Type: Hybrid Working (2-3 days per week in office)
Overview:
Our client, a leader in its specialised field, is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to oversee financial planning and analysis. This role involves supporting senior management by tracking and reporting key financial metrics. The FP&A Manager will work closely with accounting and operational teams, reporting directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Reporting:
- Handle monthly group reporting and conduct regional reviews.
- Lead pre-closing activities, forecasting, and budget planning, fostering strong relationships with operational teams.
- Conduct reviews and analyses of PFU.
- Ensure timely completion of intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain consistency between accounting records and reported data.
Analysis:
- Reconcile management tools with accounting records.
- Forecast revenues across various business lines.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports for monitoring and forecasting.
- Address business needs for KPI data and conduct ad-hoc profitability analyses.
Expense Management:
- Manage the expenses administration system.
- Oversee accrual processes for UK & European entities.
- Review and allocate expenses accurately.
- Collaborate with procurement and facilities to update group tools and calculate savings per group guidelines.
Staff Costs:
- Coordinate with commercial leaders to develop and maintain commission schemes for direct sales and other eligible employees.
- Ensure commission schemes comply with group standards and maintain thorough audit trails.
- Analyse and monitor staff costs against the budget in collaboration with HR.
- Ensure accurate group staff recharges and raise invoices quarterly.
Local Management:
- Provide monthly financial reports to senior management, ensuring alignment with targets.
- Organise and lead quarterly turnover and loss committee meetings.
- Support process improvement and system upgrade projects.
- Prepare and submit industry-required statistical reports.
Candidate Profile:
- 10 years of relevant FP&A experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in data extraction, analysis, and interpretation, capable of manipulating and mapping data into various reports.
- General accounting knowledge, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
- Experience with insurance accounting is highly desirable.
- Energetic, self-reliant, quick learner with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strategic focus to achieve key objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven track record in management accounting or FP&A roles within a global or regional company.
