Description
- Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts, including variance calculations to budget, forecast, and prior year. Preparation of the narrative, explaining variances, and preparation of appropriate graphs to explain the results
- Preparation of the monthly financial reviews of each show, comparing actuals to budget, issuing them, and discussing them with the COO and Event Directors
- Calculation of accruals and prepayments
- Updating the fixed asset register and calculating depreciation
- Calculation of deferred and accrued revenue each month
- Calculation of bad and doubtful debts
- Review of monthly costs to highlight any variances to budget and submission of proposals for cost savings, based upon cost reviews
- Assisting the Finance Director with the preparation of the monthly forecasts and the annual budgets
- Assisting with updating the daily cashflows and the weekly cash reports
- Administration of the accounting system, Xero
- Assisting the team with credit control and communication with creditors
- Assisting the Finance Director and Finance Manager in ensuring that the company adheres to legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the organisation
- Performance of other duties and tasks as required to deliver the objectives of the Finance department
Profile
- Candidates must have experience within a similar role
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification - Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
- Excellent MS Excel skills
