A Ofsted Outstanding specialist school local to you is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant for a full time, permanent role (term time only) This is a fabulous opportunity for an individual that enjoys working on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis. Applicants for this role need to be nurturing, patient and committed to making learning accessible to children with severe and complex learning difficulties. The school in question boasts a welcoming and supportive team, outstanding resources and a school and team that is committed to supporting the whole child including their general well being and sense of self. This is a fabulous opportunity not to be missed. This setting supports children between the ages of 5-16 years so is both a primary and secondary provision. Your be needed to work Monday-Friday 08:30-4:30pm. This is not a residential setting.

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:

Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)

Relevant teaching Assistant and SEN experience would be desirable but not essential (Must be able to provide references)

Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or young people

GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis

Supporting learners with severe and complex needs

Working with the teacher to support the learning objectives
