OTC Confirmation Templates and MCA Negotiator

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an OTC Confirmation Templates and Master Confirmation Agreements (MCA) Negotiator for a 12-month contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role:

The role sits within the Product Control - Documentation department, looking after the documentation and legal negotiations of the different asset classes and derivatives.

As an OTC Confirmation Templates and Master Confirmation Agreements (MCA) Negotiator you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and analysing the legal discrepancies between client's standard confirmation templates and amending requests received from counterparties for a particular deal.
  • Taking all necessary actions to solve the template issues and creating specific templates that can be used for similar trades going forward.
  • Amending existing generic confirmation templates to accommodate new trades.
  • Identifying, performing preliminary checks, and drafting the Master Confirmation Agreements.
  • Analysing the amendment requests and taking actions to reach agreement on all terms of the MCA.
  • Implementing it into the internal systems.
  • Identifying the MCAs that are eligible to electronic platforms eg. MarkitWire.
  • Exploring and implementing the MCAs on the platform and on-boarding.
  • Assisting documentation teams for all questions related to confirmation templates and ISDA Definitions.
  • Ensuring a follow-up of the changes related to ISDA Definitions and market practices and attending ISDA/EMTA/MarkitWire/Industry working group sessions.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Knowledge of the different ISDA Definitions including the 2021 ones.
  • Good OTC derivative product knowledge (IRD, FX, EQD).
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Great capacity to work independently and deliver results in a timely manner.
