Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Retail Security Officer to join our team in Cambridge, located at CB4 2JQ. This role involves providing exceptional security services to ensure the safety and security of our retail premises, staff, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security threats
- Manage access control and conduct regular security checks
- Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or disturbances
- Assist in crowd control during busy periods
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and addressing any concerns
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Maintain accurate incident and activity logs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred, particularly in a retail environment
- SIA Security License is mandatory
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Good physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
