Burton and South Derbyshire College is a forward thinking General Further Education College with high future ambitions. We have excellent provision serving the communities of East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, work with nearly 1,000 businesses regionally and serve over 5,000 learners.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Facilities to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our College campuses. This leadership role will be instrumental in shaping a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both staff and students, while ensuring our estates and facilities support high-quality learning and teaching.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working and learning environment.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage contractors effectively.
  • A proactive approach to facilities management, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners_._
