We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Advisor to join our Housing Solutions team within a leading public sector organisation. This role is central to providing outstanding customer service and support to individuals seeking housing solutions. As the first point of contact, you will ensure that all inquiries and concerns are addressed with efficiency and professionalism.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers over the phone, seeking housing solutions.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information on housing options, eligibility, and application processes.
  • Assist customers with housing applications and documentation.
  • Evaluate customer needs and offer appropriate guidance and advice.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to effectively resolve customer queries and complaints.
  • Maintain organised and accurate customer records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Follow procedures to comply with housing legislation and council policies.
  • Stay informed about changes in housing legislation and policies to provide current information.
  • Contribute to the improvement of customer service processes and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with customers.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage pressure and handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.
  • Desirable knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
