Events and Campaigns Officer
- Hourly Rate: PAYE £29.39 / LTD UMB £38.07

We are seeking an experienced Events and Campaigns Officer to join the marketing team of a local authority team in SE London. The role involves launching a strategic plan, including a conference and a series of engagement events with key stakeholders. This is an immediate start position for a specialist who can quickly develop a substantial programme of events, ideally with experience in the local government sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a series of events related to the clients 2030 strategic plan.
- Work autonomously within the communications team as the sole events specialist.
- Liaise with various internal departments, stakeholders in the borough, and venue representatives to ensure successful event outcomes.
- Rapidly develop a comprehensive programme of events from inception to execution.
- Potentially support other projects, including events or campaigns, as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in running events, preferably within the local government sector.
- Proven ability to manage events from start to finish, including stakeholder engagement and venue coordination.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different teams and with external partners.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
