We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for an Interim Finance Business Partner.
The role would suit a someone who has previous Business Partnering experience within Higher Education and who is available at short notice.
Day to day duties:
- Support the efficient and effective delivery and presentation of management information
- Lead meetings to advise senior stakeholders on the financial position of their budgets and projects
- Assist in interpreting variances and agreeing follow-up measures where necessary
- Prepare annual budgets, projections and year-end forecasting
- Design and implement local reports to meet specific requirements
- Assist in the preparation of the final accounts and external returns
- Prepare and submit financial claims to funding bodies
- Assist with year-end audit process
- Provide training to both finance and non-finance members of staff
- Organise and deliver presentations as appropriate
- Assist in the training, instruction and coaching of team members
Essential criteria:
- CCAB part qualified as a minimum
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with staff at all management and directorate levels
- Good working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques
- Strong IT skills including excellent excel
- Experience working within the University sector
