We are delighted to partner again with our client, a fast growing North East based business. The HR team are fantastic, it's a vibrant culture and the HR Team work really well together. Reporting to the Group HR Manager the role of HR Officer covers HR and some recruitment activity:

What's involved:

  • Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to policies and procedures
  • Support mangers with formal and Informal proceedings including investigations, disciplinary's, absence review, grievance hearings, capability including occupational health
  • Carrying out and review exit interviews, feeding back to Department Heads
  • Supporting with HR Policy Development
  • Employee Engagement, helping develop strategies to improve employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Retention strategies - working with the HR Manager and team developing and implementing strategies to retain key employees
  • Support with the management and smooth running of the recruitment function, forecasting future needs
  • At peak times, be actively involved in sourcing candidates using a variety of methods with a focus on social media, online job boards and active candidate sourcing, using LinkedIn and via recruitment agencies and the negotiation of terms of business
  • Support Department Heads and Managers with the interview process
  • Tracking the activity of vacancies for reporting purposes
  • Work with the Marketing Department on all aspects of social media recruitment
  • Carry out group inductions when required to support the onboarding process

Experience needed:

  • CIPD Qualified minimum Level 5, working towards or equivalent experience
  • Experience of Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Experience of policy and procedural advice in relation to formal and informal proceedings, investigations, disciplinary's, absence management, grievance, capability and occupational health
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of demonstrating effective team working within a commercial environment
  • Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solutions -focused approach
  • Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills
