Driver Hire Leeds West are currently working in partnership with our prestigious client to recruit several 7.5 tonne drivers to join them on an on going temp to perm basis.
Our client are the UK's largest suppliers of garage doors which are manufactured right here in Yorkshire. Our client is the UK's #1 electric garage door provide, operating through a network of over 100 franchisees. They are currently undertaking a bold and exciting growth strategy and that includes recruiting new drivers to join their team.
We are looking for drivers who are prepared to work long hours to deliver the products across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Great customer service skills are also required as you will be liaising with various stakeholders and the customers. These are ongoing temp to perm position for the right candidates, and following 13 weeks of continuous employment, you will be eligible to transfer to the company and receive the additional benefits that come with the role which will include 25 days holiday per year, access to a company pension and a work wear allowance amongst other perks.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to deliver garage doors across the United Kingdom.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt and efficient delivery.
- Navigate diverse routes to reach customers' locations.
- Collaborate with a "Driver's Mate" who manages customer communication and organisation.
- Load, unload, and deliver items to the customer's room of choice.
Requirements:
- Valid Class C1 UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points for minor offenses.
- CPC card and Tachograph card.
- Minimum 1 year of experience holding a 7.5-tonne license.
- Ideally, experience with multidrop deliveries.
- Ability to handle heavy stock (physical role).
Pay:
- £12.60 per hour (PAYE)
- £14.12 per hour (PAYE Advance)
