Our client, a leading organisation in engineering is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join their team based in the North of England. As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will work at both an operational and strategic level, leading the design and delivery of the people plan to ensure alignment with the organisation's short, medium, and long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with local business leaders, providing support and guidance on all aspects of people management, including talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, absence management, performance management, health and safety, and equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Coach mid and senior management to strengthen and develop leadership capabilities.
  • Conduct training and development needs analysis to build capability levels.
  • Contribute to organisational design and delivery activities such as role design and organisational reviews to ensure alignment with the business strategy.
  • Lead the local employee engagement agenda, designing and delivering effective engagement action plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with recognised employee groups and trade unions, partnering with Idustrial Relations/Employee Relations to ensure positive relationships.
  • Align and advocate HR processes and activities with the business to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Support the organisation's vision and values, fostering a culture of inclusivity and embedding these values into the workplace.
  • Lead and manage HR projects as required, including participation in organisation-wide projects.
  • Interface with other HR Teams both locally and within our client's organisation.
  • Represent our client at local stakeholder groups.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as an HR Generalist, with leadership experience in a complex and unionised environment, including dispute resolution.
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law.
  • A Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Business-focused with a strong understanding of commercial awareness.
  • Change leadership and management skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent coaching skills.
  • Good numeracy and literacy levels.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Experience in building strong working relationships and influencing at different levels across the organisation.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
