Senior Executive Assisant to the President

A university based in the heart of the City are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to the President of the university. You will be based in the President's Office working at the highest level of the organisation, with the most senior leaders working on-site 3 days a week, 2 days remotely. You will be joining at an exciting time as they are implementing their new strategy.

Benefits:

  • £41,732 - £48,350 per annum, depending on experience
  • Annual Leave: 30 days, plus 8 statutory and 4 additional days during the Christmas holiday period.
  • Automatic enrolment into the USS pension scheme, with an option to opt out.

Job Purpose:

As the Senior Executive Assistant you will provide a comprehensive and confidential executive support service to the President. Responsibilities include effective diary management, briefings, exceptional customer service, and coordination of internal and external communications. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and mentoring a team of collaborative Executive Assistants within the President's Office; previous management experience is not required, as the client is open to those looking to step up into this role.

Key duties include:

  • Provide a professional and responsive first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries to the President's Office.
  • Provide full diary coordination and administrative support to the President to ensure his efficient and effective functioning.
  • Support communications and event management for the President.
  • Line management of a team of diary-focused Executive Assistants
  • Office management of the President's Office, in liaison with the SEA for the Deputy President and Chief of Staff

Experience required:

  • Significant experience of providing direct executive support to a senior leader in a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience in the servicing of meetings.
  • Experience of organising and managing events.
  • Experience of utilising electronic databases, filing systems and planning tools.
  • You will need to be resilient, pro-active and well organised and able to work in a 'front of house' environment where you will be representing the university and meeting/greeting high profile guests.
