Management Accountant
Based: Blackpool
Salary: circa £35k dependent on experience plus benefits
Opportunity:
This exciting high growth business with multiple divisions is looking to strengthen their finance function initially on a 6 month contract basis.
Role:
- Maintain monthly management accounts
- Day-to-day transactional accounting
- Daily reconciliations of all banks
- Accurate intercompany transactions and reconciliations in real time
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Provide financial analysis as needed, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Production of annual budgets in association with department heads.
- Update forecasts for businesses in line with business performance.
- Finance partnering with members of the Business Management teams.
- Process payroll in a timely manner, in liaison with HR and managers from both business entities.
- Management of the finance processes within the entities.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Coordinate with HMRC as required.
Experience:
- A self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills is required and an ability to work to deadlines and targets is paramount.
- An experienced Management Accountant, with 5+ years /of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Strong soft skills, the importance of teamwork both within the finance team and external to it cannot be overemphasized.
- Excellent people and time management skills will be required to facilitate the forward momentum of a growing business
