Strive Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading provider of specialist packing and international shipping services for the fine art, antiques, and interior design industries. With a presence near Heathrow, Gatwick, the Midlands, and in New York, they are expanding their team and are looking for a dedicated Driver / Fine Art Handler to join them at their Langley facility.
Role Overview:
As a Driver / Fine Art Handler, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transport of valuable artworks and high-end furniture. Your responsibilities will include careful packing, secure transport, and installation of fine art pieces, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and pack various types of fine art and furniture securely for transport
- Install and de-install artworks and high-value furniture
- Pick up and deliver artworks, including paintings and sculptures, both locally and across Europe
- Drive a Class 1, ensuring safe and reliable transport
- Inspect and assess artworks for proper handling and packing
- Wrap, load, and secure artworks in trucks to maintain safety during transit
- Manage paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, timesheets, and condition reports with photos
- Communicate effectively with clients and the operations team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A clean driving record
- Physical fitness and comfort with ladders, scaffolding, and mechanised lifts
- A professional appearance and demeanor
- A Class 1 HGV license with digi tacho and CPC
- Willingness to travel around Europe and spend nights away for longer trips
- Some experience or knowledge of handling high-end goods (advantageous)
- A team-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn
