Job Summary:

The Shared Service Centre Accountant will be responsible for managing and executing various financial processes within the SSC. This role requires a meticulous and organised individual with strong analytical skills and experience in a shared services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payables and receivables.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency's within the SSC.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
  • Provide training and support to other team members on financial processes and systems.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with other departments and business units to support financial operations and resolve issues.
  • Provide financial insights and support to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Qualified by experience.
  • Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA.
