Risk & Assurance Analyst

We need a Risk and Assurance Analyst to join our Risk and Assurance team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Location: Our offices are based in Berkshire, RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with onsite parking.

Salary Range: Starts at £33,700 - £40,000 depending on experience

This is an exciting time to join us as a Risk and Assurance Analyst as we begin working towards updating the weapons on all of the submarines in the UK CasD programme. We require amazing people to support the programme, this could be you.

We are located in the countryside at RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with onsite parking. There are good bus links between Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury.

A typical day as a Risk and Assurance Analyst could look like this:

  • Maintaining reporting for the Corporate Assurance function, applying the standards, processes, and metrics required, to inform appropriate decision making
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including other assurance providers to develop AWE's overall assurance picture
  • Supporting the ongoing optimisation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework Ownership of the ERM tooling platform

We would like you to have experience of or have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of corporate governance approaches and ways of managing common risks
  • Negotiating and communicating to gain commitment to assurance mapping.
  • Multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable evidence of performance reporting and analysis
  • Knowledge of modern assurance mapping and enterprise risk management techniques
  • Data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Background in a Science & Technology / Project-based / Regulated organisation, preferably in a governance, risk or audit role
  • Awareness of three lines model and range of assurance providers
