Duty Site Security Manager

About The Role

To create and maintain a quality standard of security service at UAL East Bank, Stratford, in order that the Agreed Specification / Service Level Agreements and other various Trust Policies and Procedures are carried out. Ensure good personal appearance and hygiene, including uniform, of yourself and all officers who report to you, are of the highest standards at all times in line with our company policy. To provide the various University staff, Visitors and Contractors a safe & friendly environment to work. Prevent unauthorised entry of persons not permitted on site and prevent unauthorised removal of equipment by protecting the University assets. To manage all security related incidents on site.

Details of the Role

1.5.a To maintain an excellent level of security cover and to effectively respond to reports of
incidents
1.5.b To Update Timegate system with Officers working hours and update Roster.
1.5.c To complete Timesheets and associated paperwork for payroll Purposes.
1.5.d To carry out Security Officers welfare 1 to 1 Forms Monthly
1.5.e To carry out security audits Monthly

You will be working on a variable 12-hour shift - 4 shifts on 4 shifts off alternating day and night, 42 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

1.3.a To ensure that all shifts are staffed to the required levels at all times and that any
shortcomings or discrepancies are communicated to OCS Security Manager.
1.3.b To ensure that all team members are fully conversant with the most current Policies,
Emergency Procedures and Assignment Instructions, received from the management
team.
1.3.c To ensure that all team members are fully conversant with any ad hoc instructions or
notifications received from the management team.
1.3.d To effectively manage and monitor all duties carried out by team members, ensuring they
are conducted efficiently and correctly, addressing any shortfalls by the implementation
of additional training or disciplinary measures as required.
1.3.e To manage security officers' response to security incidents.
1.3.f To manage and supervise additional security officers assisting during events.
1.3.g To take on lead on responding to fire alarm activations and evacuations.
1.3.h To ensure that all Security Service team members wear the correct uniform whilst on
duty.
1.3.i To manage any time keeping complaints received for team members, and to escalate
ongoing complaints to OCS Security Manager.
1.3.j To complete Return to Work interviews with team members after each absence or
sickness, ensuring documentation is completed and submitted correctly.
1.3.k To manage any Leave Requests received from team members, ensuring that all
documentation is completed and submitted correctly.
1.3.l To deliver training to the syllabus and standard as directed by the OCS Security Manager
to all team members.
1.3.m To carry out ad hoc welfare, supervisory and communication visits with all team members,
on a daily basis, ensuring duties are completed to the standard expected by the Client.
1.3.n To ensure that the Control Room policies and procedures are adhered to by the Security
Control Operator.
1.3.o To carry out annual appraisals with team members in the shift under the OCS Security
Manager's supervision.
1.3.p To liaise with OCS Security Manager to ensure University calendar events are diarized and
team manning is appropriately planned.
1.3.q To ensure that a full and effective handover is completed with the oncoming Security
Shift Team Leader.

Requirements

Must have both a door supervisor and a CCTV licence

To have completed secondary education with sound knowledge of MS Office products.

Security Industry Door Supervisor Authority Licence

Security Industry CCTV Authority Licence

First Aid Certificate.

Experience in leading security teams in a customer focused busy environment is essential.

Ability to follow policy and procedures.

Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
