Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a small team of 4 staff
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information and maintaining robust accounting controls and processes
  • Addressing queries from the senior leadership team and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards in financial reporting
  • Preparing statutory accounts, including consolidations for multiple entities (FRS102 & IFRS)
  • Leading the annual and interim audits, serving as the primary contact for auditors
  • Conducting regular balance sheet reviews, managing the capital expenditure process, and overseeing all internal controls reviews
  • Preparing corporate tax and VAT returns
  • Effectively communicating and addressing ad hoc queries across various levels of the business

What you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Head of Finance / Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager / Accountancy Practice Manager / Financial Reporting Manager
  • Accounting and Finance Qualification – ACA / ACCA – with post-qualification experience
  • A strong technical background in financial accounting and reporting
  • Experience in managing tax and VAT reporting would be advantageous
