IT Support Engineer

Exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join a small IT team for a UK wide construction company.
The chosen candidate will provide IT support and work alongside their outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Day to Day of the role:
- Deliver 1st & 2nd line onsite support as part of a hybrid service desk, in collaboration with our MSP.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with all staff and contractors to ensure a comfortable environment for raising issues.
- Staff the walk-up service desk and manage tickets in the ticketing system effectively.
- Escalate or transfer tickets to the MSP service desk as needed.
- Set up IT equipment for new starters and conduct IT system inductions.
- Follow and update written procedures, including change management processes.
- Contribute to and maintain the knowledge base.
- Assist with project planning and delivery.
- Travel to various locations for routine site visits and commission IT systems.
- Manage stock levels for routine service requests.
- Occasionally work out of hours to assist our MSP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of extensive experience in IT support.
- Proficiency in Windows 10 & 11, Android and Mobile Device Management (Intune), and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and Microsoft Defender product stack.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft 365 Enterprise plans, SharePoint, Active Directory & Entra ID, Exchange Online, and basic networking.
- Experience with cloud-based email archival solutions and supporting various IT systems and devices.
- Basic networking knowledge - firewalls, routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, VPN, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi
- Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

- ITIL v4 Foundation, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+ certification is preferred.
