Warehouse Supervisor

We have an exciting role to join the team within our busy clients head office based in Castle Donnington.

This role will be assisting the Warehouse Manager in all tasks and duties allocated to our warehouse and driver teams from senior management.

To ensure tasks are carried out in a timely and accurate manner by helping to effectively communicating and motivate the team leaders and staff alongside the Warehouse Manager.

  • Assisting the Warehouse Manager in the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation.
  • Organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage, rotation and despatch of products and ensuring the warehouse and driving teams can fulfil operational and customer demand.
  • Take a practical hands-on approach and undertake the various warehouse activities, stock taking and implementing department policies and procedures to ensure an efficient operation.
  • Assist the management team in sharing ideas to improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing policies and procedure for continuous improvement.
  • Working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient and effective use of the warehouse space, including layout and future capacity requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager help communicate with the warehouse & driving teams on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements.
  • Assist with delivery vehicle maintenance related administration including tachograph admin.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
  • Where required liaise with transport companies as and when required in a timely way and handle any concerns.
  • Maintain professional standards in both personal appearance and behaviour.

In addition, it will be advantageous to have a valid Counterbalance and/or Reach FLT licence.

  • Strong decision-making skills & excellent attention to detail.
  • Forklift licence may be required.
