We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Control Assistant to join our team at F Jewellery.The ideal candidate will be responsible for logging and arranging stock transits between branches, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in the stock management system.
Main Responsibilities:
- Log stock transits in the stock management system.
- Arrange stock transits between branches.
- Liaise with branch managers to ensure stock transits are up-to-date in the system.
- Check incoming stock for accuracy by weighing items and testing purity.
- Report on stock locations, aged stock reports, and identify items for smelting.
- Assist in describing new stock for branches and websites.
- Liaise with the London Assay Office to arrange hallmarking.
- Accept auction lots from Fast Credit, checking purities and ensuring weights match on
arrival.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software for managing stock and generating reports.
- Jewellery Testing Knowledge: Experience in weighing and testing the purity of jewellery items.
- Stock Control Experience: Previous experience in stock control, preferably within the jewellery industry, will be an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills in English to effectively communicate with team members and external partners.
- Hallmarking Knowledge: A general understanding of the hallmarking process.
