Capital Projects Manager

Kingston University London is seeking to recruit a Capital Projects Manager to lead its highly successful and award-winning capital projects team.

The Role

As a senior member of the Estates and Sustainability team, this role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making. The role will lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that this agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.

The role holder is expected to work collectively with all Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations and the delivery of improvements to the physical University environment and infrastructure.

The Person

The successful candidate will have strong project management, design and financial management capabilities and will use these to lead the team to ensure effective delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, timescales and design quality.

Directorate/Function

The Estates and Sustainability function is responsible for delivering continual improvements to the University's estate and enhancing the estate and facilities experience for students and staff. Our staff achieve this through developing and overseeing our property and managing space, energy, biodiversity and estate-related health and safety matters.

We aim to achieve the highest practicable standards of energy efficiency throughout the University's estate and facilitate the University strategy relating to student residential and recreational provision. In all activity we implement sustainable practice through our choice of methods, materials and technology.
