Aims of the job
The employee's work is intended to ensure:
Account Management
- To maximise the sales opportunities within the UK across Ecommerce and Logistics channels and product groups.
- Manage the sales, profitability, and service levels of the existing accounts.
- To sell / cross sell all ranges into all accounts.
- Regular customer reviews and visits are maintained.
- Account and development plans are created, managed, and implemented within the top 20 accounts.
- Plan, develop and action budgets at Company and account level.
- The market price is achieved within each customer for all product groups.
New Business
- Create and implement a new business strategy.
- The opening & development of new business in all designated channels and product groups within the company
- To create, manage and maximise databases into each designated sales channel.
- To achieve the new business development targets for each product category.
Other Tasks
- Ensure the sector is promoted via agreed marketing platforms.
- Research and attend relevant Trade events / Shows to generate business contacts / leads.
- Create / Manage / Maintain a pipeline of leads.
- Create / Manage / Maintain a pipeline of orders.
- To ensure all products introduced to the UK are marketed, presented, and sold to customers in the designated channel.
- Work in conjunction with Customer services, Supply Chain & Operations to ensure new or bespoke products are introduced smoothly.
- Work with and in conjunction with Customer services to develop a coherent sales process to the market.
- Provide feedback on market conditions, competitor activity and product changes.
- Ensure all company procedures and admin tasks are adhered to.
- Any other reason duties requested by the line manager.
