Title: Commercial Manager

Based: London with national travel

Salary: £42,000 (negotiable) plus bonus, OTE c£55,000, excellent benefits

The Role

A rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate salesperson from the professional foodservice equipment industry to enter into the world of events management whilst maintaining your links to the equipment sector!

  • Promotion of key industry trade events to customers across the professional kitchen equipment sector including manufacturers, distributors and importers
  • Sales of exhibition space and sponsorship packages
  • Promotion of trade shows and their benefits to prospective and existing customers
  • Support clients with information and advice on packages and solutions to ensure that their presence at the shows maximises the potential sales opportunities for their business
  • Travelling nationally and meeting with customers to build up strong professional relationships and a full and detailed understanding of their business
  • Regular presence at industry networking events to continually expand and support your network

The person

We are looking for a passionate and outgoing individual with a passion for the industry who is always looking for an opportunity. We would love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven knowledge of the Foodservice Equipment sector
  • A passion for sales and networking
  • Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible to travel, this role will see you customer-facing with businesses across the UK for a minimum of 50% of your working week
  • Self-motivated and performance driven, with a desire to achieve goals
  • Skilled in objection-handling, negotiation and closing both over the phone and face to face
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Knowledge and experience of using CRM systems
