Position Details

  • Role: Teacher of Science (potential for Head of Chemistry for the right candidate)
  • Start Date: January 2025
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Full-time (part-time may be considered)
  • Salary: MPS/UPS depending on experience, with TLR for Head of Chemistry

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging science lessons across Key Stages 3 -5 (depending on specialism)
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies
  • Potential to lead the Chemistry department for the right candidate

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic science teacher who:

  • Has a passion for science and the ability to inspire students
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Shows commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Has the potential to take on a leadership role within the department

The post-holder will have:

  • A degree in a Science related field
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Ability to teach Science across the age range
  • Right to work in the UK (essential)
