Administration Assistant - Post Adoption Support

We are seeking a motivated and flexible Administration Assistant to join our small, busy and specialist team to provide comprehensive administrative support to our staff and service users. CAFIS is a friendly and welcoming team who provide a range of Post Adoption Support services to adoptive parents and their children, birth relatives and adopted adults across Kent, Medway and Bexley.

Key requirements:

  • Provide support to our Social Workers and Project Workers in all areas of administrative tasks.
  • Use a wide range of IT systems for communication, recording and reporting purposes - e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a highly capable team and on your own initiative.
  • Competently maintain accurate and up to date paper and electronic records.
  • Answer and respond to telephone call and email enquiries.
  • Able to work in a professional and non-judgemental way with all service users.
  • Able to remain independent, regulate your own emotions in challenging situations and seek appropriate support within CAFIS when needed.
  • Highly organised and contribute to office management.
  • Prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and work within data protection guidelines.

Additional information:

Please note this post is advertised as a part time office-based position for 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday. You will be based at our office in Faversham, Kent. Flexibility would be considered following completion of the probation period for the right applicant.

Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently up to 30th September 2027. Therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.
