Jenson Fisher are urgently seeking an Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract on behalf of our client, a well-established business based in Brechin. This is a pivotal role where the successful candidate will take on key financial responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations during this crucial period. As the Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly management accounts, year-end reporting, and financial analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting with the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring financial forecasts align with company goals.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Overseeing AP/AR processes, ensuring timely payments and collections, and managing cash flow.
- Taxation & Compliance: Managing VAT returns, preparing tax submissions, and ensuring the business adheres to all financial regulations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and can maintain financial accuracy and control while providing strategic insight to the management team.
Our client is looking for a qualified Accountant who meets the following criteria:
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Attributes: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
