The role – IT Support Technician
The salary - £40,000 - £45,00
The location – Aberdeen
Expectation is that the role will be on-site for the first 6 months, then hybrid working is an option.
I'm working with a fantastic organisation as they look to add an IT Engineer to their growing IT team. As part of their IT team you will support across the organisation, both on-shore and off-shore, to deliver high level technical support across their estate, both on-shore and off-shore. With experience working within an IT service desk environment or in another IT support function this role will engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders both in-person and remotely.
Your day-to-day:
- Provide high level technical support across the full scope of IT infrastructure including hardware, software and network devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Provide support both in-person and via remote channels.
- Support with telephone technology including smart phones and tablets.
- Monitor systems and look for ways to improve the internal IT infrastructure.
- Attend off-site locations to provide support including with project and upgrade work.
- Support other areas of the team including IT project work and cybersecurity.
About you:
- You'll have experience in an IT Service Desk role or other IT support function.
- Experience troubleshooting across a range of software and hardware both in-person and remote.
- Proficient across the Microsoft stack including Office 365, Windows servers, Exchange, Sharepoint and Azure.
- Experience with IP telephony systems.
- Familiarity with networking hardware, virtualization and storage solutions is desirable.
- Experience of working offshore is desirable but training will be provided.
