Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Year-End Accounts: Managing the preparation of year-end financial statements for various clients, including Limited Companies, Partnerships, and Individuals.
- Preparation of Management Accounts & VAT Returns: Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
- Statutory Compliance: Monitoring client compliance with statutory obligations concerning accounts and taxation.
- Tax Returns & Computations: Preparing Corporate and Income Tax returns, along with the necessary computations.
- Client Advisory & Correspondence: Engaging directly with clients in meetings, offering advisory services, and maintaining correspondence to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Technical Development: Keeping up-to-date with technical standards by attending training courses and staying informed through reading.
- Business Development: Promoting the services of the firm to existing and potential clients.
- Collaboration with Partners: Regularly reporting to and collaborating with the firm's partners.
- Supervision & Training of Staff: Overseeing junior staff members, planning and monitoring their work, offering on-the-job training, and evaluating performance.
- Client Onboarding: Leading the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and initial setup.
Required Skills:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA with at relevant experience gained in Practice.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Client-Facing Skills: Confidence and professionalism when dealing with clients.
- Strong Technical Ability: Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
- Supervision & Delegation: Ability to manage and oversee the work of junior staff, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure deadlines are met.
