Our client, a global market leader and dynamic brand, is looking to source a credible and technically strong Head of Finance to join its talented team. Responsible for a team of 5, you'll be leading a mix of accounting, reporting and control processes, as well as supporting the Finance Director, who will be considering this person as a future successor.

Aside from delivering high quality monthly and quarterly financial reporting, you'll be pivotal in instilling a controls mindset across the broader business and ensuring a strong control environment is consistently operational.
Main duties include:
- Leading the team to delivery high quality month and quarter end process, including preparation of key reporting on the group's financial performance
- Managing the preparation of statutory accounts (IFRS) and preparing group submissions
- Leading the fixed asset control process, intercompany eliminations and recharges etc
- Closely partnering with the commercial finance team, including providing first level commentary on key movements, enabling business decision making
- Monitoring and tracking financial risks and opportunities as well as identify business levers to deliver the plan each month
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations have been completed in a timely manner and manage risks and opportunity forecasting and reporting
- Playing a lead role in working with the internal and external auditors
- Completing tax computations and reviewing group VAT return
Key skills and experience required:
- Likely ACA or ACCA qualified, although CIMA with relevant technical skills will be considered
- Examples to date of delivering deadlines, in a large company environment, also including Big 4 audit
- Strong consolidations knowledge
- Excellent communication, proven influencing skill and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
- Proven track record managing and developing others
- An eye towards continuous improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify finance and business processes
- Relevant finance experience in a reporting/controls role that requires analysis skills and working with large volumes of data
