Communicate RS has partnered with an industry leader who is seeking a Financal Accountant.
The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, detail-oriented, and adept at working independently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant finance and accounting team and support various business functions through financial analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting team on monthly closing activities, including intercompany transactions, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generate monthly management reports for consolidation into broader company financial statements.
- Perform financial analysis with the trading team to provide insights on financial performance to management.
- Maintain and support relationships with external auditors.
- Prepare financial reports and regulatory submissions as required.
- Assist in the creation of annual budgets, review inputs from trading and commercial teams, and compile submission templates for senior management.
- Aid the business controller in managing daily cash flow and treasury functions.
- Deliver financial analysis and support to commercial and trading teams, particularly in forecasting liquidity needs and conducting sensitivity analyses.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- Experience in the trading or commodity sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in creating and utilising modelling tools for clear and concise presentation of outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proactively challenge and improve existing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Exceptional numeracy skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
