Laboratory Analyst

This world class, manufacturing company are currently looking to recruit a Laboratory Analyst with a science background to assist with the day to day chemical testing.

The ideal candidate will be either a fresh graduate looking to enter a Scientific field or have a period of employment in a Laboratory environment. This will be a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has a technical background, ideally a degree or qualification in a science related subject (Chemistry will be beneficial) and have strong experience in laboratory methods and procedures.

This candidate would also be conscientious and have a willingness to learn, understand the market, show enthusiasm and a high level of accuracy in their work. They would be well-organised to manage their workload.

On a day to day the successful candidate will be involved with taking and testing samples throughout the processes of manufacture, from incoming raw materials, intermediate solutions and finished products, to environmental testing including wastewater treatment and dust monitoring. Classical and instrumentation analytical techniques will be used as well as external laboratories. They will be reporting and recording all findings and will occasionally need to utilise their method writing skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Test product to pre-determined quality standards to meet requirements whilst maintaining the highest level of compliance.
  • You will be planning and schedule testing procedures to ensure excellent documentation recording.
  • Ensure laboratory occurrences are performed within the time frame required
  • Support the continuous review, improvement, and harmonisation of documentation within the departments.
  • Working in a production-driven environment
