Brief Overview of the role

We're in search of an exceptional Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our vibrant team at our Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Malvern. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a degree in Education or a related field. With proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, including supporting pupils on the lead-up to SATs and preparing them for this important milestone, they will excel in creating and delivering engaging, differentiated lesson plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering captivating lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and schemes of work. They will assess, monitor, and record students' progress and achievements, ensuring they are well-prepared for external examinations. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and evaluation of school policies and practices, promoting the school's values and vision. Collaboration with colleagues on curriculum and pupil development is essential to ensure coordinated outcomes. The candidate will prioritize the safety and well-being of students, maintaining discipline and supervising support staff as needed. They will also play a role in recruitment, professional development, and performance appraisal processes. Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues is key, both within and beyond the school community. Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations and experience in Primary education. They will be passionate about outstanding teaching and learning, truly committed to raising the level of achievement for all pupils. With excellent Maths and English skills, they will be sensitive to the needs of individual learners and able to deliver high-quality learning opportunities. The candidate will ensure high standards of classroom management and organization, deal positively with children, parents, and staff, and adhere to and support whole school policies and practices. They will work effectively as part of a team, be committed to the safety and well-being of all pupils, and contribute to raising standards, believing every child should have the opportunity to achieve their very best.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for teaching in the UK.
  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related subject is required.
  • Proven Experience Teaching Key Stage 2
  • Experience in designing lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Knowledge of various assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress effectively.
  • Strong Understanding of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum
  • Ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance: Required for working with children, or a willingness to obtain one.
