FMCG Operations Manager job profile:
This is a brand-new role ,which you can really make your own. The successful Operations Manager, will be responsible for the Production and Warehouse teams to ensure that they are being managed efficiently, and operating to high quality and operating standards - across their respected Gateshead and Co Durham sites. You will also be prepared to act as a culture ambassador, by continuing to keep up standards and to protect the environment that's been created for its workforce, through its benefits, opportunities and respect.
Main responsibilities of the FMCG Operations Manager:
- Responsible for ensuring all teams are being managed effectively and efficiently, with optimum output being delivered.
- Implement strategic company objectives
- Provide recommendations on improvements and efficiencies, as well as reporting on all operating efficiencies
- Work with the senior management team to promote business culture
- Perform HR duties such as staff rotas, recruitment, appraisals, disciplinaries and form training development plans for direct reports
- Lead ad hoc improvement and development projects
- General site management, dual sites
- To ensure all protective clothing provided is worn as per the guidance
- To work within company Health and Safety Rules
- To assist and adhere to BRC standards
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and maintain a professional attitude
- Adhere to all company wide policies and procedures
Experience required:
- Previous Operations Manager experience is essential, dual site management would be highly desirable
- Exposure to a busy mid-market manufacturing facility
- A background from the following industries FMCG/Food/Packaging/Plastics sectors
