PROCUREMENT AND STOCK CONTROLLER
Come and support a specialist manufacturing company working with high end clients, based in the Procurement and Stock team. The right person for this role will have strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships and strong numeracy skills. You will have the ability and willingness to learn, and training will be provided.
PROCUREMENT AND STOCK CONTROLLER ROLE:
- Sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Placing purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies
- Maintaining accurate inventory records using electronic databases
- Conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical and recorded inventory levels
- Monitoring stock levels and initiating reordering processes to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Implementing inventory optimisation techniques to minimise carrying costs while ensuring product availability
- Inspecting incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, verifying that products meet specifications and quantity requirements
- Working closely with the quality control team to address any product issues or discrepancies identified during the receiving process
- Implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction
- Generating reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and stock movements for management review
- Maintaining accurate documentation related to procurement, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts
- Analysing purchasing and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements
PROCUREMENT AND STOCK CONTROLLER ESSENTIALS:
- Advanced level Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
