Data Protection Officer

£35 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract ( 3-4 months long)
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Data Protection Officer in Enfield. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours. The employer can offer hybrid working.
The job:
- Effectively manage budgets and projects within your service ensuring effective cost management and prioritisation
- Independently analyse and evaluate situations, creating what-if scenarios, reasoning based on the information, experience and knowledge to arrive at one or more options, and draw effective conclusions
- Having accountability for the legally mandated role of Data Protection Officer for the organisation as described in the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA)
- Have an overarching responsibility for fostering a data protection culture within the organisation
The candidate:
- The post holder must have expertise in national and European data protection laws and practices
- In-depth understanding of both GDPR and DPA and is required
- Technical qualification in data protection is desirable
- Prior local government experience is desirable
