Estate Officer

  • Annual Salary: £25,647 - £28,487
  • Location: Bristol, BS1
  • Job Type: Full-time, shifts on 3 weekly rotation - 6.30 - 2.30pm / 9 - 5pm / 2pm - 10pm.

We are seeking dedicated Estate Officers to join our estates team at a vibrant educational institution. This role is crucial in maintaining the security, safety, and upkeep of our site and buildings, ensuring a conducive environment for staff and students. Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Maintain the security of the school buildings by locking/unlocking, conducting regular security checks, and monitoring fire safety equipment.
  • Respond to alarm systems and provide emergency access to the school site as required.
  • Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and minor improvement works to ensure the upkeep of the premises.
  • Perform routine inspections and identify any repair or maintenance needs.
  • Carry out cleaning duties, including graffiti removal, litter picking, and spillage clearance.
  • Manage minor grounds works and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met throughout the premises.
  • Handle the collection and distribution of deliveries and maintain the school minibuses.
  • Comply with health and safety policies, promoting a safe environment for all.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Ability to undertake general maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Competent in using computers, including email, maintenance logging systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos, aims, and values.
