Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm (with 1-hour unpaid lunch)

Salary: £28,000.00 - £32,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)

Reporting to: HR & Training Manager

Primary Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HR Generalist with training and development skills to join our busy HR department. The HR and Training Assistant will support our HR & Training Manager in providing a comprehensive human resources service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Plan and execute training and development programmes.
  • Manage employee absence records and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Support employee relations by addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Prepare HR-related documents and reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Support performance management processes and employee evaluations.
  • Assist in HR projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practises.
  • Experience in absence management, employee relations, and recruitment.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
