Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a medium sized business in South Gloucestershire on the recruitment of a permanent Finance Assistant. Our client is a £200 million turnover organisation in a very interesting and ever-evolving industry.
Joining a busy Finance department, the role of Finance Assistant will work closely with a team of 3 finance professionals. The ideal candidate will either be AAT qualified or close to being qualified and bring experience working in a similar position previously.
Our client work on a flexible working basis, but realistically you will be predominantly office based whilst getting settled into this role. Please note, this role can be worked on between a 35-37 hour working week depending on your preference.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include but not be limited to:
- Handling a large volume of invoices; processing on finance systems, resolving queries, distributing for payment, raising sales invoices and more.
- Preparing payment runs.
- Managing all monthly supplier statement reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations.
- Preparing the quarterly VAT returns.
- Assisting the wider team in preparation for annual audit.
- Managing petty cash, employee expenses, journals and more.
Your Profile:
- AAT qualified or working towards an AAT qualification.
- Prior experience working in a similar position, with strong experience in purchase ledger.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
- A strong attention to detail is essential.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £34,000 plus benefits including 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), annual bonus scheme, private medical care, pension scheme and more.
