This role requires a Senior Procurement Lead/ Head of Procurement level candidate who will oversee and manage the procurement, contract and supply management operations within a large not-for-profit organisation The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to make sound decisions that will drive the company's procurement processes forward.

Description

The overall purpose of the role is to develop and deliver Procurement, Contract and Supplier Relationship strategies to support business and operational delivery and achieve value for money

  • Oversee and manage procurement, contract and suppler operations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Manage a small team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage procurement budgets and cost analysis.
  • Identify and manage procurement risks.
  • Report on procurement performance and metrics.

Profile

A successful Senior Procurement Lead/ Head of Procurement should have:

  • An educational background in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, contact and supply chain management at a senior level.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to analyse procurement data and metrics.

You must also have;

  • Experience of delivering large scale cost effective and compliant procurement solutions across a range of functions an enable operational efficiencies and appropriately manage risk.
  • Significant experience of generating additional value through contract and supplier relationship management strategies.
  • Experience of developing and implementing procurement, contract management and supplier relationship policies.
  • Experience of identifying contract management best practice and conducting contract assurance reviews.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the Public Contract Regulations.
  • Excellent financial and data analysis skills.
