Sheridan Maine is thrilled to partner with a leading hospitality client based in Islington, who is seeking a dynamic and immediately available Junior Management Accountant. This temporary role is essential to assist with the completion of month-end processes and ensure clear communication with the Group's budget holders.
Key Responsibilities of the Junior Management Accountant:
- Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts and reports.
- Prepare and post month end journals (accruals, prepayments, stock movement etc).
- Reconciliation of balance sheets accounts.
- Assist with reporting variances.
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide support with the annual audit.
- Contribute to the development of the accounting function by enhancing its systems, practices, and structures to effectively support both internal and external changes.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the Junior Management Accounts function evolves and meets the changing requirements of the business and budget holders.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
The successful Junior Management Accountant will:
- Be studying towards full accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Have experience of working within a Finance department.
- Be proactive and detail oriented.
- Have experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector is desirable but not essential.
