The Lowry's ticket agency, QuayTickets will be operating the event and are an award-winning ticket agency operating events and selling tickets for over 50 clients throughout the UK.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Duty Manager, welcoming visitors to Van Gogh Alive - an immersive, multi-sensory experience at the NEC, Birmingham.

We are looking for a Duty Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of event staff, who will ensure that all procedures and processes are followed in all areas of the exhibition. The role will report into the General Manager.

About you:

With a friendly and outgoing approach, the successful applicant will have strong customer care and excellent communication skills with the ability to both generate and demonstrate proactive interaction with staff and visitors alike.

Previous experience in event management roles for large scale events is desirable, although not essential.

The exhibition is open 6 days a week and will require some work at weekends and evenings.

Shift times are:

  • Weekdays 9:30 - 15:30 or 15:30 - 21:30
  • Weekends 8:00 - 15:30 or 15:30 - 21:30

Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Applicants must be available to start in the role on Tuesday 30 July 2024.

The exhibition runs from 30 July - 1 September 2024, therefore applicants will be expected to be available throughout this period.

Complementary parking is available onsite for staff members.
