Trinity Theatre is a unique and welcoming venue that uses the arts to foster personal and creative growth in Tunbridge Wells. They are currently at an exciting juncture as they are about to launch a new brand identity and website.

Collaborating with TN Recruits, Trinity Theatre is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Finance Manager whose goal is to ensure the Board of Trustees and Senior Executive team have clear and accurate visibility of the charity's finances.

Role Overview:

You will have responsibility for the record keeping, invoicing and

reporting of the theatre's finances alongside managing the financial operations of the charity. This is a flexible end-to-end finance role, which may be suited to someone who has worked in various finance roles and has experience in each part of the finance process.

Day to day will cover:

  • Income oversight and credit control.
  • Payment oversight and control, including payroll.
  • Bookkeeping oversight and management of all aspects and ensuring accuracy of records.
  • Cash Management - cash projections and reporting.
  • Reporting - management accounts, including profitability, cash flow and budget holder income/expenditure
  • Budgeting - assisting with annual and department budgets.
  • Tax - Liaising with HMRC and oversight of all tax submissions.
  • Auditing - including file preparation and annual account review.
  • Banking - Management of accounts and transfers.
  • Financial Control Management and compliance.

About You:

  • Relevant accountancy qualification.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and payroll work using bespoke software applications.
  • Experience of reporting to management level
  • Competence in preparing regular monthly accounts to deadline
  • Able to draw up a set of accounts for audit
  • A high level of numeracy and experience of cash handling
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of working in a similar sized organisation
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities
  • Attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a theatre, arts centre
  • Experience of working with Xero or Spektrix
  • Experience of working in a charity and with restricted funds
  • A good level of I.T. skills including proficient use Microsoft Office Suite.
