Purchasing Administrator

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will span day-to-day purchasing tasks as well as data analysis and data management. Key responsibilities include creating and developing reports for supply chain analysis and maintaining product data for thousands of SKU lines in our ERP. As part of a growing business, adaptability and teamwork are crucial. You should be willing to assist with various purchasing-related tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit to support the company's overall success. This role requires adaptability and drive, making it suitable for individuals seeking a fast-paced and diverse position.

Main Duties

  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on supplier lead times
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Optimise inventory levels to help meet targets
  • Liaising with suppliers and other departments
  • Creation and management of product data on ERP – over 12,000 SKUs.
  • Extensive analysis, cross referencing and integration of product and purchasing data and reports.
  • Review and resolve any discrepancies with supplier invoices, claims, or quality issues.
  • Development of staple purchasing analysis and reports.

Skills and Knowledge

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Experience using an ERP and managing product data
  • Highly analytical mindset with excellent numerical, data visualisation and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability
