Event Marketing Executive

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a new creative Event Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team in our ONCAMPUS division, part of Cambridge Education Group.

The Events Marketing Executive works closely with the Sales Support, Training & Events Manager and ONCAMPUS Marketing Managers. The Events Marketing Executive will be involved in all aspects of events and marketing, particularly the creation, updating of and dissemination of marketing-related activity.

The Events Marketing Executive will be creative and proactive with the drive and ambition to develop a career in events and marketing. They will be able to work on their own initiative and the ideal candidate will have a positive approach and be a great communicator - both verbally and in writing. The Events Marketing Executive should have the confidence to put forward their own ideas when appropriate and ideally possess skills in digital media and/or design and CRM knowledge (ideally MS Dynamics 365).

The role is on a full-time, permanent basis. The ONCAMPUS Marketing team is based in Cambridge under the Hybrid Working pattern with 2 days in the office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Organising a variety of in-person events for example familiarization trips, workshops, conferences, meetings at ONCAMPUS centres. Responsible for the booking all travel, accommodation, meals and any other service required.
  • Liasing with different departments within the company and several stakeholders.
  • Attend events and be the first point of contact for groups on site. Availability to travel nationally and internationally over few consecutive days. Some evenings and weekends availability are necessary for this role.
  • Arranging and hosting webinars, usually on Teams. Liaising with academic speakers and other stakeholders.
  • Create marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, advertisements and newsletters.
  • Systematically update both online and offline materials when changes are required.
  • Work closely with centre-based staff to create and update student handbooks and pre-arrival information for all centres, ensuring consistency of brand and content across all centres.

Person Specification & experience we look for:

  • Educated to degree level or beyond, ideally with a marketing-related qualification, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the Education sector.
  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to work on different projects at the same time.
  • Experience of group travel and events organisation.
  • Event budget management/tracking experience.
  • Experience of working within busy marketing departments and supporting multiple stakeholders.
