Job Overview:
Howard Finley Care are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care and support to the residents, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and independence. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a genuine passion for helping individuals with alcohol dependency issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care Provision: Delivering person-centered care, including assistance with daily activities, personal care, and emotional support.
- Medication Management: Administering medication and monitoring residents' health and well-being.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring junior care staff, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with policies.
- Care Planning: Developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and healthcare professionals.
- Emergency Coverage: Being available to cover night shifts in emergencies to ensure continuous quality care.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and residents' progress.
- Communication: Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, preferably with individuals with alcohol dependency issues or mental health issues.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Empathy and dedication to providing high-quality care.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work alternative weekends and cover night shifts if required.
- Compliance: Knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding, and care standards.
