Seven Resourcing are looking for an Engineer to work with Conwy Council as an agency worker.
Full Time - 37 hours per week - 9am until 5:00pm
£29.78 per hour UMBRELLA
About the Role:
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a Category III (CAT III) check for all proposed structures at the Sappers/RSPB Levelling Up Fund (LUF) projects. You will lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. You will work collaboratively with various departments, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver projects that enhance the infrastructure and services of Conwy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex engineering projects.
- Provide a CAT III check for all proposed structures at Sappers/RSPB LUF projects.
- Provide expert guidance and technical support to engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and the community.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior engineering role, preferably within a local authority.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
- Experience in conducting CAT III checks.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
